Training course outline
- Identify the basic construction, purpose and function of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges.
- Identify and comply with manufacturers instructions in accordance with the operators handbook, other information sources and applicable legislation.
- Carry out all pre-use and running checks.
- Set the tractor for site and road travel.
- Travel over varying types of terrain, including rough undulating ground with various mounted and trailed implements.
- Travel up and down substantial inclines with various mounted and trailed implements.
- Manoeuvre in confined areas with various mounted and trailed implements, using forward and reverse direction.
- Attach various mounted and trailed implements to the tractor.
- Connect and operate various types of Power Take Off (PTO) driven implements.
- Place the tractor in and out-of-service condition.
- Explain the loading and unloading procedures on and off a transporter.
